At Root & Rise, we believe every woman deserves to understand her body, not just learn to live with symptoms.

Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers women through every season of life. Whether you’re preparing for motherhood, healing postpartum, navigating pelvic pain, or simply wanting to move with greater confidence, we’re here to support your journey with expertise, empathy, and personalized care.

Healing is never one-size-fits-all. That’s why we take the time to listen, educate, and partner with every woman who walks through our doors, creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and connected every step of the way.

Because when women understand their bodies, they move through life with greater confidence.

Maybe you’ve been wondering if this is just something you have to live with.

Maybe you leak when you laugh, sneeze, run, or jump. Intimacy has become uncomfortable or painful. Your back or hips haven't felt the same since pregnancy. You're preparing for birth and want to feel more confident in your body... or you're months (or years) postpartum and still don't quite feel like yourself.

Maybe feeding your baby hasn't gone the way you expected. You're navigating swelling or discomfort. Or maybe you're simply ready to feel stronger, move more freely, and understand what your body has been trying to tell you.

Whatever brought you here, you deserve more than “that’s just part of being a woman.”

You deserve to feel heard. You deserve answers. And you deserve care that helps you understand your body and feel confident in it again.

You deserve to understand your body.

You Don't Have to "Live With It"

Care that starts with listening.

We want you to feel comfortable before you ever walk through our doors because we know that walking into a new healthcare space, especially when you’re talking about something as personal and vulnerable, can put your nervous system on alert.

At Root & Rise, your care begins with your story. We’ll take time to understand what you’re experiencing, answer your questions, talk through your goals, and make sure you understand every step of your care.

Our studio was intentionally created to feel warm, welcoming, and safe... because we believe the environment you receive care in matters, too.

There’s no rushing. No judgment. No expectation that you should already know what’s going on with your body.

Just compassionate, evidence-based care designed around you.

The Women Behind Root & Rise

Co-Founder of Root & Rise THerapy studio | Occupational Therapist | Certified Lymphedema Therapist | Certified Lactation Counselor

For Rachel, women’s health is both professional and deeply personal.

After nearly a decade as an Occupational Therapist, and her own experiences navigating two C-sections, pelvic floor challenges, breastfeeding struggles, and the unexpected journey of welcoming a 34-week preemie, Rachel found herself asking a question so many women do:
“Why didn’t I know this?”
That question helped inspire Root & Rise: a space where women can feel heard, understand their bodies, and receive compassionate, evidence-based support through every season of life.
Today, Rachel combines her clinical expertise with her lived experience to help women feel stronger, more informed, and confident in their own bodies.

Laiken earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with a background in Human Performance & Fitness and a minor in Psychology, giving her a unique perspective on how movement, function, and overall wellness work together.

She believes education is one of the most powerful tools in healthcare. By helping women understand why they’re experiencing symptoms, she empowers them to take an active role in their healing journey.

Whether treating pelvic pain, supporting postpartum recovery, improving functional movement, or incorporating dry needling into care, Laiken’s goal is to help women restore confidence in their bodies and return to the activities they love.
